Terms of Use

1. What Garlo is

Garlo is an iPhone app that plans your meals and writes your shopping list. It is run by George Mapili. By using Garlo, you agree to these Terms. You must be 18 or older, or 13 to 17 with a parent's or guardian's permission. Garlo is not for children under 13.

2. Your account

Garlo makes an anonymous account when you first open it. An Apple or Google account is required after you subscribe, so your plans, shopping list and food log are saved. You can delete your account at any time in the app, under Profile. We may end an account that breaks these Terms.

3. Subscription and billing

Garlo's subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple. There are monthly and yearly plans, and the yearly plan includes a free trial if you are eligible. The price for your country appears in the App Store before you buy.

A subscription renews until you cancel it. Cancel in your App Store account settings at least 24 hours before the trial or current period ends. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel it. Refunds are handled by Apple. How to cancel or ask for a refund.

4. Food and allergies

Garlo excludes recipes containing your allergens. Always check product labels.

This depends on the answers you give. Garlo works from a recipe's ingredients and can't see the products you buy, which differ by brand and country. Calories and prices are estimates. Garlo does not give medical advice and is not a substitute for a doctor or dietitian.

5. AI features

Fridge Chef and Calorie Snap use AI to read your photos, and they can be wrong. Check what they find before relying on it. These features have daily limits, shown in the app, and may not always be available.

6. Your photos and content

Your photos, notes and answers stay yours. You let Garlo use them to provide and improve the app. The Privacy Policy explains how.

7. Garlo's recipes and content

Garlo's recipes, images, mascot and design belong to Garlo or its licensors. You may use them for your own cooking, but please don't copy or resell them.

8. Fair use

Please don't misuse Garlo, try to break it, get around its limits, or use it to harm others.

9. Changes

If these Terms change, we will update this page and the date at the top.
